Business description
I walk beside mothers as they prepare for, move through, and slowly emerge from the early seasons of motherhood. My work begins during pregnancy – helping women feel grounded, resourced and emotionally prepared for what lies ahead – and continues through postpartum and beyond, with care that centres the mother as much as the baby.
Whether I’m supporting a mum through a postpartum planning session, nourishing her with warm meals during in-home visits, guiding her through baby massage, connecting her with my extensive network of trusted practitioners or simply being a calm, steady presence on the hard days – every part of my work is about honouring the rite of passage that is matrescence.
I believe that when mothers are well supported, connected and cared for, the ripple effect flows through their families, relationships and wider communities. My role is to gently hold space for that transformation – offering practical help, emotional support, and the reminder that you don’t have to do any of this alone.
Services offered
Postpartum Doula Support:
In-home care across Sydney, including nourishing meals, breastfeeding support, emotional support newborn care guidance, postpartum education, practical household help, massage and other self-care rituals. Support begins during pregnancy with a postpartum planning session and continues with a package of in-home visits tailored to each family’s needs.
Baby Massage Courses:
A 5-week in-person course designed to support bonding, relaxation, and baby development, while also creating space for mums to connect and share. I run these regularly in Paddington and pop up around other areas of Sydney. Online coming soon.
Virtual Support Sessions:
For families seeking ongoing guidance or care after their initial doula support, I offer 1:1 virtual sessions to navigate everything from sleep and feeding changes to identity shifts and relationship dynamics and transitioning back to paid work.
Community Events:
I host regular Mama Hang gatherings and Prenatal Nights that bring together mums and local practitioners for connection, education, and a true sense of community.
client testimonials
Laura Ismay – first time mum to Cloe
“Mazz is someone who has the ability to feel like a close friend after the first meeting, which is so important at what can be a vulnerable and overwhelming time. I felt so supported by her during the weeks she came to our house. She is warm, relaxed, SO knowledgeable and shares her experience in such a calm and supportive way.
I think my favourite thing about Mazz’s service is the way she can adapt to what you need at a specific time – whether that be looking after your little one so you can grab a coffee with your partner, offering a listening ear while you vent, or allowing you to unwind with a relaxing massage and foot bath. If you’re unsure how you will be postpartum, knowing Mazz will be there will offer you great comfort.”
Julie Chan – second time mum to Gabriel and Rafael
“Having Mazz as your postpartum doula is like having your sister or best friend (for the emotional support) and Mary Poppins (for the practical house support/nutritious food) all at once!
She empowered me to trust my instincts and gave me the confidence to navigate this new chapter. Thanks to her guidance and support, I felt nurtured and cared for, which allowed me to truly embrace the postpartum experience and focus on bonding with my baby.”
Emma Pinkerton – second time mum to Freddie and Max
Knowing I had someone to focus solely on my wellbeing changed my whole postpartum experience. I felt more confident, prepared and excited for continuing my motherhood journey. Having Mazz supporting me in postpartum gave me the space to enjoy the experience of motherhood in a way that I couldn’t have done alone.
BUSINESS ENDORSEMENTS
“I never hesitate to recommend Mazz in the postnatal space, she works magic for Mums and bubs.”
Maddie O’Connor – Registered Nurse, Midwife and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) at The Royal Hospital for Women Sydney
“Mazz has an exceptional amount of knowledge when it comes to supporting the mother-baby bond through infant massage. Her knowledge of nurturing not only the baby’s but the mother’s nervous system is so necessary for parents. It is evident that Mazz is incredibly passionate about her infant massage classes, and cares deeply about supporting new parents through her work as a postpartum doula. Anyone who chooses to join a class or enjoy her postpartum support is making an excellent investment in the postpartum and baby’s wellbeing.”
